Two Maids & A Mop Named 57th Fastest Growing Company In The Nation!!

Two Maids & A Mop Named to the
Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses
Class of 2012

Athens, Ga. – Two Maids & A Mop, based in Birmingham, AL, was honored on January 21, when the UGA Alumni Association announced the rankings of the 2012 Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses at a celebration in Atlanta.

Two Maids & A Mop, helmed by 1997 UGA graduate Ron Holt, ranks as this year’s 57th fastest growing Bulldog business. The firm specializes in residential house cleaning services throughout the southeastern United States..

“This is a tremendous honor for me personally. UGA has always held a special place in my heart and I have no doubt that my business‘ success is a direct result of my education at UGA,” said Holt. “I started this business over nine years ago in Pensacola, FL and it’s amazing that we could grow from just two part-time employees to more than 100 hard working professionals today. What an amazing ride!” continued Holt.

The Atlanta CPA firm, Gifford Hillegass and Ingwersen, LLP has annually partnered with the UGA Alumni Association since the inception of the program three years ago to verify the information that was submitted by each nominated company. GH&I then ranked the companies based on compounded annual growth rate.

Nominations were collected between January and June 2011. To be considered for the program, an organization must have been in business for at least five years, had revenues of $100,000 or more for the calendar year 2008, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50% of company or be the CEO, President or Managing Partner. The program recognizes the fastest-growing businesses regardless of size by focusing on a three-year growth rate average.

Nearly 800 nominations were submitted for this year’s program. The class of 2012 includes companies ranging in all sizes and services, from athletics equipment producers to web design and internet marketing firms. Several different areas of the country are represented, including companies from Connecticut, Nebraska, and New Mexico.

UGA alumni and friends celebrated the 2012 Bulldog 100 honorees at a special event held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis on January 21, 2012. The evening began with a reception, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony. Keynote speaker, Deborah Norville, anchor of “Inside Edition” and 1979 UGA graduate, led attendees to the highlight of the evening—the release of the final rankings and countdown of the 2012 Bulldog 100.

“The UGA Alumni Association is thrilled to honor our graduates who demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence that bring honor to their alma mater,” said Deborah Dietzler, executive director of the UGA Alumni Association. “We are proud of the accomplishments of these alumni, whose achievements during the Great Recession are noteworthy indeed.”

Nominations for the 2013 Bulldog program will open January 30. The full listing and rankings of the 2012 honorees and photos of the celebration can be found here >> 2012 Bulldog 100 Rankings.

Awesome Testimonial from Pensacola

Now that I have used Two Maids & A Mop for several months, I can honestly say that so far I am so happy to have good help in keeping my home cleaned, dusted, and just freshened up. Nicole and Theresa make a really great team. One thing I noticed in particular, that has impressed me and is something I have not found with other companies, is that the two of them do not seem to ever complain about what they have to do, they don't argue among themselves about who is going to do what, and even more important, they don't mind when I ask them to do a specific thing or to do it a specific way (the way I like it done). They arrive with a smile on their face, do their work, and stay busy the entire time they are here. I have come to love having the help and it certainly frees up my time to do so many other needed things. I appreciate these two ladies so much. I am thrilled at the way Two Maids & A Mop works. Each time they clean, I get to give them a rating from 1 to 10 and that determines how much I pay for my housecleaning. So far, they have been so good, I have always given them a 10 rating - But, they know I will reduce that rating if my housecleaning isn't done good and to my satisfaction. Colleen, it has also been great working with you. I'm able to schedule ahead of time, but I'm able to make changes easily, providing there are openings. This is so important, as unexpected things can come up, unexpected company can call saying they are coming to visit, or even us having to be out of town unexpectedly at times, and I appreciate so much that Colleen has worked out my cleaning days to make all this satisfactory to me. This flexibility is of utmost importance to me. So, I'm going to keep Two Maids & A Mop for a long time and far as often as necessary.

Thanks so much for a job well done so far!!!!
